Aerospace Products Acquisition of the Assets of Survival Engineering
Inc, (SEI)
CIRCOR
Aerospace Products, a division of CIRCOR International, Inc. (NYSE:CIR)
has acquired the business of Survival Engineering Inc. (SEI) of
Hudson, Wisconsin. The SEI business will be consolidated into
the Ronkonkoma, NY based Aerodyne Controls unit of CIRCOR Aerospace
Products.

Aerospace Products is a leader in design, manufacture and test
of complex aerospace and defense fluid controls, control and actuation
systems and integrated landing gear assemblies. CIRCOR Aerospace
Products operates in North America and Europe through its Circle
Seal Controls, Aerodyne Controls, Industria and LOUD Engineering
& Manufacturing businesses.
SEI,
founded in 1991 is a leader in the design and manufacture of high
quality pneumatic controls and inflation systems for the aerospace,
marine, defense and industrial inflatables and life raft industry.
SEI products can be found on marine and aviation life rafts and
evacuation systems for commercial and military applications.
Commenting
on the transaction, Chris Celtruda, Group Vice President—CIRCOR
Aerospace Products, stated: “The SEI business is a natural
fit for our Aerodyne Controls unit which already provides specialized
pneumatic solutions for the inflation market. The addition of
SEI provides strong complementary technology that will allow us
to continue to enhance our pneumatic systems product offerings
for our core aerospace and defense customers.”
